GIZ Program Manager
Mr. Youssouf MBONIGABA is a public health professional and registered nurse with over 17 years of experience in HIV programming, health systems strengthening, and clinical mentorship in Rwanda. He currently serves as GIZ Program Manager at the Rwanda Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (RRP+), where he leads the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of HIV and human rights interventions, while strengthening community engagement and capacity building. He holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Mount Kenya University, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Sciences, and a Diploma in General Nursing. Throughout his career, he has worked with the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), the Ministry of Health, Rwamagana PH, and other key stakeholders to improve HIV prevention, care, treatment, TB/HIV integration, PMTCT, quality improvement, and data management. His expertise includes project management, monitoring and evaluation, clinical mentorship, health workforce capacity strengthening, data analysis, and strategic planning, contributing significantly to Rwanda's progress toward achieving the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets.
