Get up all against stigma associated with HIV and AIDS

Since stigma and discrimination is still one of the biggest problems PLHIV are struggling with, RRP+ has joined the world on the 1st March 2017 to commemorate the international Zero Discrimination Day. The national theme of this year was “Get up all against Stigma associated with HIV and AIDS” which calls everyone to advocate for zero tolerance of discrimination against People Living with HIV (PLHIV). A press conference was organized with the participation of various partners including MOH, RBC, UNAIDS, WHO, UNICEF, GIZ and civil society organizations engaged in the HIV response.  RRP+ projected a documentary movie they produced last year, showing testimonies of 3 young persons living with HIV who managed to overcome stigma and discrimination. Afterwards journalists and other participants got the opportunity to discuss about HIV-related discrimination and the response of the government and civil society with the film protagonists and a panel of experts.
